A Good Night's Rest Aids Weight Loss

29th Oct 2013

GET YOUR SLEEP!! Studies published in The Journal of the American Medical Association suggest that lack of sleep may increase hunger and affect your metabolism, which may make it harder to lose weight. Lack of sleep has been shown to negatively affect the secretion of cortisol, a hormone that regulates appetite. Sleep loss may also interfere with the body's ability to metabolize carbohydrates, which leads to high levels of blood sugar. Excess blood sugar promotes the overproduction of insulin, which can lead to the storage of body fat. YIKES! Not good, right? So...simple fix: GET TO BED & GET PLENTY OF SLEEP!!!
