Certain foods can really help make or break a workout. It's important to learn about the foods that you should not only eat before and after a workout, but also on a regular basis. How well you fuel your body, is how well your body will react and work for the best for you. Listed below are just a few important foods that you should make a part of your diet, to not only lose weight, but to also live a healthy lifestyle.

1. Peanut Butter.

-It's an energy boost because it contains protein and healthy monosaturated fats, which give you an energy pick-me-up. It also includes Vitamin B3, tryptophan, and manganese.

-It works for cardiovascular health because the monosaturated fat has been proven to decrease risk of heart disease, and the fiber helps reduce bad (LDL) cholesterol.

-Peanut butter also helps your circulation because it contains iron, calcium, copper, potassium, and magnesium.

-Peanut butter helps stabilize blood sugar levels.

-Peanut butter contains resveratrol, an antioxidant that has been linked to lower levels of heart disease and cancer, and also wrinkles!

-It is a great addition to one of our Skinny Blend Shakes to give you even more protein and a flavor boost!

2. Bananas.

-Cholesterol free. Can be used for a substitute for some or all of the butter or oil when baking cookies, for a lower, healthier treat.

-400 mg. of potassium in 1 medium-size banana. Potassium is necessary for good nerve and muscle function, as well as for maintaining a healthy balance of fluids in the body. Potassium can also help prevent muscle cramps after exercise.

-Contains 10 mg. of Vitamin C, which is 15% of your recommended daily amount. Vitamin C boosts your immune system and cell health, and improves the absorption of iron.

3. Spinach.

-Helps protect and maintain the health of your eyes.

-High in nutrients, such as Vitamin K (helps blood clot and bone health), Vitamin A (reduces free radicals in the body), Vitamin C (increase in antioxidants).

-Prevents various forms of cancer. Researchers have found at least 13 different flavonoid compounds, which help fight cancer.

-Improves learning capacity, specifically the motor skills in the brain.

-Rich in lutein, which helps prevent cataracts and age-related macular degeneration.

-Rich in antioxidants.

-Relaxes the body. Principal source of magnesium, which fights fatigue

All of these foods are perfect to add to a Skinny Blend Shake! Again, these are just a few of the more important foods you should include into your diet with the appropriate recommended amounts.
