But why not get to a sweet dessert that is genuinely healthy for you?! What could that be, you ask? FRUIT! Try these simple ways to not only satisfy a sweet tooth but also increase your fruit intake and get plenty of anti-oxidants!
Make a Smoothie
Frozen berries are an amazing alternative to ice. Not only will they thicken your smoothie like ice but they will add sweetness, anti-oxidants, and fiber. Berries will amp up and add a depth of flavor to all Skinny Blend varieties!
Brush honey and a pinch of cinnamon on pineapple and citrus and grill on the top rack. The natural sugars will caramelize and you will be able to enjoy your favorite flavors with added sweetness and complexity. You can even squeeze the citrus juice over meats and salads!
A Better Butter
Believe it or not, avocado is actually a fruit. Make a pudding or mousse by mixing one ripe avocado, honey, cocoa powder, and some coconut only until thick and creamy. You can also mix 1/2 cup of frozen berries, 1/2 a banana, and 1/2 a ripe avocado together to make a smoothie "bowl".
