Easy, At-Home Workouts. No Gym Required!

Posted by Skinnyjane.com on 19th Jan 2016

One of the biggest complaints we hear after New Year's is how unbelievably crowded the gyms get. For people who are new to the gym or trying to get back into shape, this can be especially intimidating and can even scare them into staying away from the gym entirely. Well, there's no need to worry about that anymore because we've put together a list of several full body and specialized at-home workout routines that will have you feeling the burn without ever having to leave the house!

  1. The 15-minute no excuses workout
This routine is perfect if you're tired after a long day of work because it combines a variety of low-intensity movements with other exercises to help you work out different muscles in your body. And it only lasts 15 minutes, so there's virtually no reason you can't fit it in. This one also doesn't require any other equipment, which means you can do it anywhere!

  2. The full-body resistance band workout
This workout is designed to work your entire body through a series of low-intensity muscular exercises. For best results, do 3 sets of 10-15 reps for each exercise, with minimal breaks between sets.

  3. The at-home HIIT workout
HIIT, or high-intensity interval training, has been shown to be one of the most effective exercise programs for weight loss. It is composed of several bursts of high-intensity exercise, followed by a shorter, much lower intensity rest period. This routine is especially handy because it allows you to work your muscles, but the high-intensity bursts are also cardio. It's like two workouts in one, and all in the comfort of your own home!
